Change of asbestos contractors

As of 2 January 2025, we are now working with two new contractors for our asbestos surveys.

These two new contractors are The Testing Laboratory and North Star Environmental (NSE). We are no longer working with Envirotec for asbestos surveys.

You may be contacted by The Testing Laboratory or North Star Environmental to arrange an appointment if we need to carry out an asbestos survey in your home. This may be for reactive and planned maintenance purposes during your tenancy.

As your landlord, we have a duty under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 to check for the presence and condition of any asbestos containing materials (ACMs) in your home by completing a management survey. This will help us to check whether there are any ACMs present in your home, and if they are present, to ensure that you and our family, and emh colleagues and operatives are safe whilst in your home. The survey will allow us to manage any risk and carry out any necessary repairs and improvement works. Anyone visiting your home to carry out an asbestos service will carry ID showing the company logos shown above. They will be happy to show this to you if you ask.
