Civil Unrest

As you will have seen over the last week, violence against minority communities has spread across England and Northern Ireland. This has shamefully overshadowed the murder of three girls in Southport last Monday.

Emh utterly condemns the violence on display across our country. We have a zero-tolerance policy to any kind of discrimination and are committed to ensuring a fair and equal society.

Considering the ethnic diversity of emh’s workforce and our customers, we want everyone to feel safe, supported, and able to go about their lives without fear. To achieve this, we need to work together to reduce the risk of harm.  We are advising our colleagues to take specific steps to ensure their safety, and the safety of our residents too.

If you feel in immediate danger, or you recognise that a neighbour is in immediate danger, please call the Police on 999. We also encourage you to report any assault, threats of violence, harassment, intimidation or verbal abuse. These can be considered hate crimes, which are a form of anti-social behaviour.  Find out more about how to do this here.
